Diamond Aircraft and its regional partner, Asian Aerospace Services Ltd. (AAS), have signed an agreement with BATS Aviation Sdn Bhd for the delivery of a DA40 NG aircraft, with an option for a DA42-VI.

The agreement was formalized during the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) 2025.

BATS Aviation, a Malaysian flight training organization established in 2019 and approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia in 2020, continues to expand its fleet to support professional pilot training.

The DA40 NG aircraft is powered by a 168 hp Austro AE300 diesel engine and features a Garmin G1000 NXi glass cockpit. It runs on Jet A-1 fuel, offering operational efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
