ELITE Simulation Solutions has installed a Diamond DA-40/DA-42 FAA-certified convertible Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD) at the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) in Zaria, Nigeria. This marks ELITE’s first Diamond DA-40/DA-42 installation in West Africa, reflecting the company’s expanding presence across the continent.
The new simulator enhances NCAT’s training programs by providing a realistic and certified training platform for students, instructors, and professional pilots. It bridges classroom theory with real-world flight experience, improving training safety and efficiency while reducing operational costs.
NCAT’s technicians completed the simulator installation following training at ELITE’s headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland. The system features a Garmin G1000 NXi replica avionics suite, modular design for easy installation, and an immersive visual display. The device can be configured as either a Diamond DA-42 or DA-40, offering flexibility for future training requirements.
ELITE provided comprehensive delivery, installation support, and instructor training, and will continue offering maintenance, software updates, and re-certification services.
