Padpilot has launched new Area 100 KSA courseware aimed at supporting Approved Training Organisations (ATOs) in delivering mandatory competency-based training for the ATPL theoretical knowledge syllabus. Required since January 2022 under EASA and CAA regulations, Area 100 KSA integrates knowledge, skills, and attitudes into the pilot training phase.
The Padpilot courseware provides a complete package of instructional tools, including lesson plans, student and instructor briefings, practical exercises, and both formative and summative assessments. It is hosted within the company’s existing Learning Management System and is offered as a one-time purchase for ATOs.
Developed with input from regulatory advisors and subject matter experts, the course emphasizes real-world application of theoretical knowledge and supports the development of key pilot competencies. Padpilot CEO Nathan Gray said the new product was designed to make high-quality KSA delivery both effective and accessible for busy instructors.
