Leading Edge Aviation is adding four Piper Archer DX aircraft to its training fleet at its Alhama, Spain training base. The acquisition is described as the start of a multi-year, multi-aircraft expansion plan with Piper.
The first aircraft enters service next month, with the remaining three due for delivery in summer 2026. The Archer DX will complement Leading Edge Aviation's existing fleet of Diamond DA40 and DA42 aircraft, alongside specialist platforms and simulator capability.
Dave Alexander, Chief Operations Officer at Leading Edge Aviation, said: "By investing in modern aircraft and expanding our presence in Alhama, we are ensuring our students benefit from increased availability, improved training efficiency, and an exceptional learning environment from day one."
The Piper Archer DX is a single-engine aircraft equipped with advanced safety features and contemporary avionics, used across flight training organisations internationally. Its addition to the Alhama base is intended to support early-stage training environments and increase operational flexibility as student numbers grow.
