Skyborne welcomed more than 80 prospective students and parents to an Open House at its Vero Beach campus, featuring partners Envoy Air and Purdue University Global.

Attendees toured Skyborne's facilities and learned about its airline and educational partnerships.

Skyborne CEO Lee Woodward said the next generation of pilots need to be professional, skilled and adaptable to changing technologies, and that the academy's goal is to prepare pilots from day one for real-world airline operations. He added that the past five years have shown Vero Beach and the wider Florida region to be well suited for pilot training, noting that US airlines are hiring and that the career outlook for new pilots remains strong.

Student ambassadors led guided tours of classrooms, flight operations, simulators and training facilities, and attendees spoke with staff, instructors and industry partners during a panel discussion with students and Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs).

Envoy Air presented its Cadet Program, a pathway to American Airlines through Skyborne's FAA Part 141 Program.

Kasie Cox, Air Operations Recruitment, Envoy Air, says: "The Skyborne Open House had an outstanding turnout, with attendees highly engaged and eager to learn more about Skyborne, Envoy, and the many opportunities available through both organizations. It was great to see such enthusiasm from aspiring aviators exploring their pathways to a career in aviation."

Purdue University Global's Andrew Rachmell also presented, noting students can earn a bachelor's degree in aviation while training at Skyborne.
