LPX Inc. has launched its 737 MAX-8 portable Immersive Procedural Trainer (IPT) at the World Aviation Training Summit (WATS). Designed to improve flexibility and accessibility in pilot training while reducing ATOs and costs, the IPT delivers a high-fidelity, immersive experience in a compact format. It supports individual or crew-based training and can incorporate an AI instructor.
The 737 MAX-8 IPT combines advanced simulation technology with practical deployment capabilities, enabling airlines and training organizations to deliver realistic, scenario-based training wherever needed. Built for operational relevance, the system supports procedural training, familiarization, and recurrent learning, reducing hours required on traditional devices and full-flight simulators, lowering both hourly costs and expenses tied to extended training stays.
“Our goal with our A350-900 and 737 MAX-8 IPTs is to bridge the gap between classroom learning and full-motion simulation,” said Jaime Lopez, CEO of LPX Inc. “We’re giving operators a scalable tool that enhances training efficiency while maintaining realism and reducing costs.”
Conference attendees can experience the 737 MAX-8 IPT firsthand at Booth 220 during WATS. Live demonstrations will showcase the system’s immersive cockpit environment, intuitive interface, and adaptability to various training use cases.
