Southwest Airlines has opened a new employee training facility in Aurora, Colorado, just outside Denver International Airport. The 23,000-square-foot center is part of the airline’s expanding presence in the Denver area and was unveiled during a ribbon-cutting event with regional and aviation leaders. Located near the JAG Logistics Center, the facility is part of a larger initiative to boost commercial aviation growth in Adams County and surrounding communities.
The center will support a range of training for Southwest staff, excluding pilots, who continue to train at the airline’s Dallas campus. With room for future expansion, the Aurora facility joins the broader Southwest Airlines University system, which serves around 60,000 employees with in-person and online learning. According to airline executives, the goal is to equip staff with advanced tools and training while reinforcing the airline’s long-term commitment to the Denver metro region and its aviation workforce.
