Quantum3D has delivered a new Independence IDX 910 Image Generator, integrated with MANTIS visual and sensor simulation software, to a major U.S. commercial spaceflight customer. The system updates the existing dome and projectors to support pilot instruction and proficiency in instrument and cockpit familiarization, as well as complex scenarios with weather, sensors, and dynamic lighting. The software uses geo-specific worldwide environments and mission-critical features such as height-above-terrain and line-of-sight testing.

Quantum3D provided a turnkey delivery, including installation, integration, and operator/instructor training, to ensure smooth transition from legacy hardware and minimize downtime. The platform uses existing Quantum3D terrain databases and 3D models, rendering detailed imagery of spaceships, hangars, and spaceport environments. The system’s scalable architecture supports future display, channel, or content expansions, enabling continued use for high-fidelity training in commercial spaceflight operations.
