The Spanish Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) has certified a B737 flight simulator manufactured by Lasa Dynamics as an FNPT II MCC. The simulator was built for the Burgos-based pilot training school FlyBy and installed at the Air Simulation Centre of the University of León.
This is Lasa Dynamics' second unit certified by AESA in less than a year, a simulator the company markets under the name Gen738. The first has been operating at Top Aviator in Puerto Banús, Marbella. This second certification marks a milestone for the Spanish start-up, headquartered at the Àlava Business and Innovation Centre, near Vitoria.
The newly certified Gen738 is an FNPT II MCC simulator based on the Boeing 737-800, certified in accordance with EASA CS-FSTD(A) standards, featuring a cockpit and instrumentation designed for advanced pilot training, particularly Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) and Airline Pilot Standards (APS) MCC courses. The simulator provides a cockpit replica, a functional Flight Management System (FMS) and simulation of aircraft systems, along with visual environments using LightPath, Lasa Dynamics' visual simulation software.
"Our second AESA certification in León in less than a year demonstrates our ability to deliver, certify and bring a high-quality product into operation within the agreed timeframe," said José Ramón Lasa, CEO of Lasa Dynamics.
