StaplesVR Showcases Aviation VR Training at EATS

StaplesVR will exhibit its latest virtual reality (VR) training solutions at EATS 2025 in Portugal, taking place from 5-6 November, showcasing applications designed specifically for aviation training. Attendees can visit booth 511 to explore the company’s newest products and experience immersive AR/VR training modules.

Jetstar’s Engineering Training Manager, Roselene Lockesh, will join StaplesVR at the event to discuss the airline’s implementation of VR in maintenance training. Visitors will have the opportunity to book meetings to learn about integrating VR solutions into their training programmes.

Among the modules on display is the aircraft cabin door training system, which allows trainees to learn and practise the correct procedures for operating cabin doors safely. The training provides consistent and accessible instruction without requiring access to an aircraft or door training device.

The cabin door module covers operating door assist handles, assessing lock indicators, operating safety lock pins, checking door positions, responding to commands, and handling arming levers. Trainees can complete the training in under 30 minutes, practising guided steps as a procedural trainer before undergoing assessments.

The system offers a safe environment for practice, with the ability to integrate trainee performance analytics into learning management systems (LMS). It enables trainers and crew to access high-quality procedural training without the need for simulators, physical trainers, or aircraft, helping maximise learning outcomes while supporting operational readiness.
