ST Engineering Antycip marked the 25th anniversary of the IT FLIES UK competition at Swansea University, continuing its focus on experiential learning in aerospace engineering. The 2025 event featured student teams from multiple universities, showcasing aircraft designs evaluated by professional test pilots using Merlin flight simulators.

Swansea University stood out, winning both Best Aircraft Design and Best Presentation for the FlyGrow Bumblebee, a short take-off and landing sprayer aircraft with folding wings. The University of South Wales received the Best Innovative Aircraft award for their Little Red Dragon design.

Students tested their aircraft through various flight phases, gaining practical insights into real-world flight dynamics. IT FLIES UK emphasizes integrating design and simulation to enhance technical understanding and prepare students for careers in aerospace.

The event celebrated ongoing collaboration between academia and simulation technology providers, recognizing emerging engineering talent and hands-on education.
