FTD.aero has completed the delivery and installation of a type‑representative B73M Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD) at IFA, International Flight Academy.

The new device features a fully functional B73M cockpit with FTD.aero’s proprietary Control Loading System and a range of aircraft‑specific OEM components, including operational flight controls, oxygen masks, pilot seats and switches. The upgrades are designed to increase tactile fidelity and support a smoother transition for trainees moving from procedural training into higher‑level FTD and full‑flight simulator (FFS) phases.

Now operational at IFA’s training base in Viseu, Portugal, the simulator will enter the EASA FNPT II APS MCC approval process with ANAC. Once certified, it will become IFA’s primary APS MCC training device and form the foundation for additional training pathways, including future MPL programme development.
