Tesla Solutions, the UK’s largest independent lessor of Diamond aircraft to flight schools, is expanding its Oxford operations to include Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTDs). The company manages a fleet of 27 aircraft—12 DA40s and 15 DA42s—leased to schools across the UK.
The new simulator fleet includes a Boeing 737NG, an Airbus A320, and two Diamond DA42 simulators, all housed in a purpose-built training centre at London Oxford Airport. The devices are scheduled for UK CAA qualification as FNPTII MCC/FTD1 for the jets and FNPTII for the DA42s by the end of 2025.
Once certified, the simulators will be available on a dry-hire basis for schools, airlines, and individual pilots. The centre also includes classrooms and briefing rooms to support a flexible simulator hire solution alongside Tesla’s existing aircraft leasing business.
