Texel Air Australasia has introduced a customised B737 FMS Trainer PRO from Heading365 to support pilot type rating training across its charter and airline operations.

The desktop‑based training solution was delivered and installed earlier this year, with the application tailored specifically to Texel Air Australasia’s operational setup. According to Heading365, the customisation work focused on reducing the risk of negative learning by ensuring system behaviour, procedures and training scenarios accurately reflect the operator’s real‑world environment.

The trainer is used primarily for B737 type rating training, allowing pilots to build procedural familiarity with the flight management system outside the full‑flight simulator. Both organisations highlighted close collaboration during the development and implementation phase to align the software with Texel Air Australasia’s operational requirements.

Texel Air Australasia operates cargo and charter services in the Australasian region, combining airline and specialised charter operations. For Heading365, the delivery marks its expanding footprint in the region, where it already supports a number of Australian operators, including Virgin Australia and Airnorth.

Heading365 said the New Zealand deployment represents one of its longest training system deliveries to date, though as a software‑based solution, installation did not require physical shipping or logistics support.
