Two Decades of Growth in Flight Simulation

Entrol is marking its 20th anniversary as a manufacturer of EASA- and FAA-certified FNPT, FTD, and FFS flight simulators. Founded by brothers Luis and Pedro Olarte in Spain, the company began as a small operation and has since expanded globally, delivering more than 160 simulators to 120 clients across five continents.

After its first sale to a Spanish flight school, Entrol expanded to Belgium in 2008, Chile in 2011, the United Arab Emirates in 2013, and Australia in 2022. Its clients include Air Corporate in Italy, Heli Protection Europe, and the Spanish National Police.

Project Manager Tomás Ladrón de Guevara said, “At entrol, we promote two necessary factors to sustain innovation over time: a capable team willing to face challenges year after year, and an environment where that team can grow and provide solutions.”

Entrol has developed 25 simulator models, including the first FTD for the SkyCrane and systems featuring LED visual technology. The company also entered the Full Flight Simulator market as part of its continued expansion.

CEO Luis Olarte said, “Looking back at what we've achieved in 20 years is incredible. But our greatest pride isn't just growth, but leading the industry with milestones like the first LED simulator certification. We aren't following trends; we are creating them, and that has become entrol's DNA.”

Entrol plans to expand its Spanish facilities to over 6,000 square meters to accommodate future production and will commemorate its anniversary during European Rotors 2025 in November.
