Simaero and Cannes Aviation Academy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to offer airlines a pilot training pathway from initial training through to aircraft type qualification.

The agreement combines Cannes Aviation Academy's flight school and ATPL training with Simaero's type rating and advanced training capabilities. Together, the companies plan to design MPL, cadet, and integrated ATPL cadet programs with type rating, tailored to airline operational, commercial, and regulatory requirements.

The two organizations intend to coordinate on airline requests for proposals covering ATPL integrated cadet programs, MPL programs, and other cadet programs.

Under the framework, Cannes Aviation Academy retains operational and regulatory control over training delivered under its ATO approval, including student admission, commercial pilot training, instrument rating, and multi-engine training, in line with EASA and DGAC regulations. Simaero will deliver type rating and advanced airline training.
