flydubai has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Emirates Aviation University to launch a Flight Dispatcher Cadet Programme aimed at Emirati nationals. The programme is scheduled to begin in July 2026.
Under the agreement, cadets will complete a 10-week Flight Dispatcher Initial Course at the university. The course is approved by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (CAR Part II) and prepares participants for a flight dispatcher licence. Training covers aviation law, meteorology, navigation, aircraft performance, weight and balance, human factors and flight planning, with a focus on coordination between dispatchers and pilots.
Nasser Binkherbash, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at flydubai, added: “Developing national talent and investing in our people is vital to flydubai’s growth strategy. This programme not only supports our internal training and succession planning, but also contributes to national development goals by creating meaningful job opportunities and building a sustainable pool of future aviation professionals, including flight dispatchers, engineers and pilots.”
Graduates who complete the course and required examinations will receive a Certificate of Course Completion and can pursue flight dispatcher licensing. The initiative forms part of the airline’s broader workforce development and training pipeline strategy in the UAE.
