Vietnam’s General Secretary To Lam witnessed the signing of a strategic partnership between Vietjet and Airways Aviation in Helsinki, Finland, during the first official visit by a Vietnamese Party chief in over 50 years. The agreement enables collaboration between Airways Aviation and Vietjet Aviation Academy (VJAA) to deliver pilot training programs in Europe, aligned with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) regulations.
The initiative includes Multi-crew Pilot Licence (MPL) and Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) courses to develop globally qualified pilots. The partnership contributes to broader Vietnam–Finland cooperation in economic, technological, and human resource development.
Vietjet employs over 9,000 staff across more than 60 countries and operates both domestic and international routes. VJAA has trained nearly 400,000 aviation professionals, including pilots, flight attendants, and engineers. Airways Aviation maintains a presence across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia, offering flight training for over 45 years.
