3D perception (3DP) has launched WarpCore, a software technology providing real-time warp and blend image processing directly on the Image Generator (IG). WarpCore operates at the GPU level, eliminating the need for external hardware or source code access, enabling immersive visual performance with zero latency and minimal system impact, according to the company.
WarpCore has been fully integrated into 3DP’s Northstar Simulation Display Technology ecosystem and will be demonstrated at I/ITSEC 2025 in Orlando, Florida, at 3DP’s booth #1201. The software installs directly on IG computers without modifying IG software, supporting rapid deployment and integration across new and legacy simulation architectures.
“WarpCore is a significant step forward in simulation display processing,” said Knut Krogstad, CEO at 3D perception. “By integrating WarpCore with virtually any Image Generator, we’re enabling customers to achieve exceptional visual performance and unmatched flexibility across a wide range of simulation applications.”
At I/ITSEC 2025, WarpCore will be shown fully integrated with Aechelon Technology’s Nucleus Image Generator, demonstrating a seamless workflow between IG output and high-fidelity display processing. WarpCore supports major gaming engines such as Unreal and Unity, is GPU-based for real-time performance, autocalibration-ready via 3DP nControl, cross-platform compatible with Windows 11 and Linux, and requires no licensing fees.
WarpCore evolved from 3DP’s acquisition of Univisual Technologies AB and represents the first in a new generation of software-driven display solutions supporting DirectX, OpenGL, and Vulkan. Visitors can experience WarpCore powering the Atlas Fixed-Wing Dome Simulator Display configured as an F-35 at Booth #1201.
