Thales has launched Gladiator Training Data Analytics, an AI-powered platform that converts data from land live training exercises into structured insights for After Action Reviews (AAR).

The platform aggregates data from the exercise control system (Excon), integrating sensor inputs from soldiers, vehicles, drones and infrastructure to give trainees and instructors a shared view of field events. An interactive timeline highlights key engagements, smoke launches and artillery impacts as they happen, and a replay function lets instructors review the full manoeuvre. Tactical metrics, including force concentration, weapon diversity, and individual and collective performance, are calculated against core principles of warfare. Insights are available within minutes of an exercise ending.

Metrics are aligned with doctrinal frameworks and tailored to each training programme's objectives. The platform also includes an AI-powered communications analysis engine that transcribes radio communications, including in degraded and noisy environments, and processes them using natural language algorithms, giving instructors a structured view of how the chain of command operated during the exercise.

The platform operates without an internet connection, on dedicated systems, and can be deployed on-premise and integrated into existing training infrastructure.
