Calian Group Ltd. has named Chris Pogue as President of its newly formed Defence & Space division, effective July 7, 2025. The new role brings together Calian’s Advanced Technologies and Learning business units to support defence and space operations through integrated solutions in communications, manufacturing, training, and simulation.
Pogue brings over two decades of senior leadership experience, including roles at Thales Canada, MDA Government, General Dynamics Mission Systems Canada, and CAE. He previously served as President and CEO of Thales Canada, where he expanded naval and land forces capabilities and led digital transformation efforts. A retired Royal Canadian Air Force officer, Pogue logged over 3,500 flight hours on the C-130 Hercules.
His appointment aligns with Calian’s One Calian 2026 strategy to strengthen innovation and mission-focused services. The company highlighted Pogue’s experience in fostering partnerships between small businesses and national defence and space programs.
