Inzpire has delivered its GECO Mission Support System to Ascent Flight Training, supporting Royal Air Force and Royal Navy Mission Aircrew training at RNAS Culdrose.

The contract, secured through Lockheed Martin UK, integrates GECO alongside Lockheed Martin's Ground Mission Trainer and the Avenger T1 aircraft, used for Phase 2 training for Royal Naval Observers and RAF Weapon System Operators — prior to conversion onto aircraft including the RN Merlin Mk2, Wildcat, RAF Poseidon, and Rivet Joint.

Eight GECO systems have been supplied for use across ground and air-based training equipment. The system supports mission planning, briefing, execution, and debriefing, with automated features that verify the safety and accuracy of mission plans. Data transfers between the Avenger aircraft and Ground Mission Trainer, helping improve consistency across live and synthetic training.

The delivery forms part of the Rear Crew Stage 1 sustainment programme, a multi-million-pound Ministry of Defence investment through Ascent. An additional 21 systems are planned for the Future ISTAR and Rear Crew Training System programme at RNAS Culdrose and RAF Cranwell.

"GECO helps trainee aircrew visualise their mission before and after flight, allowing them to better develop the fundamentals required for a safe, effective career in military aviation," said John Sweet, Director of Mission Systems, Inzpire.

"The industry team has worked with our military customers to ensure the capability meets their needs, supporting both instructors and trainees within our programme and helping enhance our safety standards and operational efficiency," Chloe Barker, Managing Director, Ascent.
