RGB Spectrum has announced its role in the Modified Mission Rehearsal Trainer (MMRT) program, a Lockheed Martin program in F-35 pilot training and mission rehearsal. The program expands tactical training and mission rehearsal capabilities with a reduced physical footprint.

The Lockheed Martin MMRT supports both tactical pilot training and mission rehearsal, utilizing RGB Spectrum’s video hardware and software. It can connect with Full Mission Simulators (FMS), allowing pilots to practice joint maneuvers and operations together. In 2025, 12 pilot training devices at Luke Air Force Base demonstrated the scalability of its training systems for large-scale training exercises.

For both the FMS and MMRT systems, RGB Spectrum’s Zio Video-over-IP platform delivers video streaming, recording and multiview playback, supporting the visual display of every phase of the training process, from mission planning to after-action reviews.

“This will give F-35 pilots the scenarios and repetitions necessary to steepen tactical learning curves and provide a much-needed capability for our F-35 units,” said Matthew “Ali” Olson, retired USAF F-35A pilot, about the successful test.
