Northrop Grumman Corporation has appointed Stephanie Willmann as its first country lead executive for Germany. In this newly created role, Willmann will oversee the company’s engagement with the Bundeswehr and focus on supporting German and NATO forces, as well as fostering partnerships with local industry.

“Northrop Grumman has a longstanding strategic commitment to Germany, working with the German government and local partners to devise and deliver advanced technology that ensures NATO defense forces stay ahead of emerging threats,” said Stephen O’Bryan, corporate vice president and chief global business development officer, Northrop Grumman. “Stephanie brings extensive industry and regional aerospace and defense expertise to the team.”

Before joining Northrop Grumman, Willmann was the Country Director for Germany at Rolls Royce and previously held leadership roles at Rheinmetall. She earned a bachelor’s and a doctorate in International Relations from the University of Cologne and a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University.

Her background includes academic roles such as lecturing at the Royal Military Academy of Sandhurst and a fellowship at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. She also chaired the Committee on International and European Affairs of the German Defense Industry Association (BDSV). Her defense-related experience includes roles at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe in Belgium, the Kosovo Force, and the Bundeswehr Transformation Center’s Department for Strategic Foresight.
