3D perception has delivered its Northstar Aurora Visual Display System to Saab for use in the SYSIM-T simulator program, supporting aircraft development and flight control system testing.
The system was adapted to meet the specific conditions of Saab's facility while maintaining full functionality, developed through close collaboration between the two companies.
The Aurora system provides a 180° × 50° field of view at 120 Hz and uses proprietary sensor-at-the-surface technology for automatic multi-projection alignment and calibration without cameras. It supports imagery across dawn, day, dusk, and night conditions, and is designed for automated calibration and low maintenance.
