Volatus Aerospace has secured a new contract with a NATO defence organisation to deliver advanced remotely piloted aircraft system (RPAS) training for operators conducting missions in remote and extreme environments.

The company will fulfil the contract during fiscal year 2026; financial terms remain confidential.

The training programme is designed to prepare personnel for a range of defence and security operations, including emergency response, patrol, surveillance, search‑and‑rescue and reconnaissance missions. Volatus will provide a combination of classroom instruction and live‑flight exercises, with a focus on ensuring safe, compliant and effective deployment of uncrewed systems in demanding operational conditions.

According to Volatus CEO Glen Lynch, the award reflects continued demand for professional training that supports the full uncrewed‑systems lifecycle.

“This highlights Volatus’ ability to support defence customers across the entire drone ecosystem and our expertise in preparing operators for real‑world environments,” he said.

The contract reinforces Volatus’ growing presence within NATO‑aligned defence and security programmes and underscores the market’s shift toward integrated, end‑to‑end UAS capability providers. Volatus notes increasing engagement from defence, security and government customers and expects to issue further updates as additional programmes develop.
