The gap between AI hype and AI reality in aviation training is growing wider. Whilst most talk about artificial intelligence, few organisations have moved beyond experimental dabbling to extract genuine operational value. The chance to change that comes on 4th November in Cascais, Portugal.

The AI in Aviation Training workshop at EATS 2025 cuts through the noise to deliver what training professionals actually need: practical implementation tools, regulatory compliance guidance, and a clear roadmap to make AI work within your organisation, whether you're managing pilot training, cabin crew development, maintenance operations, or quality assurance.

Register for the AI in Aviation Training Workshop

AI promises transformative efficiency gains, but the path from concept to compliant implementation remains frustratingly unclear for most operators.

This three-hour intensive session addresses that challenge head-on. Running from 11:00-15:00 (including a one-hour lunch break), the workshop delivers actionable intelligence specifically designed for airline and ATO training managers, safety and quality leads working with CBTA and SMS systems, maintenance and cabin crew training heads, and operational decision-makers exploring AI integration.

Forget theoretical presentations. This interactive session equips you with immediately applicable resources:

A comprehensive map of proven AI use-cases across pilot, cabin crew, and maintenance training domains—showing what's working in real operations, not laboratories.

Current EASA and ICAO guidance on maintaining regulatory compliance when deploying AI tools, cutting through the confusion that's paralysing many implementation efforts.

A quick-calculation ROI template specifically designed to help you build compelling business cases for AI projects within your organisation's financial frameworks.

Real-world case studies from leading airlines, flight schools, and maintenance teams that have successfully integrated AI into their training operations.

A step-by-step AI Starter Blueprint you can begin applying within your organisation immediately upon return.

The session will be hosted by Cedric Paillard, CEO of The Airline Pilot Club. Cedric combines a high-tech career leading global projects in 4G and Big Data with credentials as an EASA and FAA ATPL-rated airline pilot. His degrees in Electronics and Wireless Communication Engineering, coupled with hands-on cockpit experience, provide rare dual expertise in both AI implementation and aviation operations.

Hosting alongside Cedric will be Brock Booher, Co-Founder & EVP Business Development at Hilo Aviation. Brock brings over 16,000 flight hours as a Boeing 737 captain with a major U.S. carrier, alongside experience as a former USAF A-10 and T-37 instructor pilot. His background as Check Pilot and Standards Check Pilot - evaluating hundreds of pilots and developing ab initio curriculum - positions him to address the practical realities of integrating AI into pilot development programmes.

"This workshop sold out quickly at APATS 25, and we're delighted to bring it to our European audience at EATS," notes Jacques Drappier, Conference Chair. "The feedback in Singapore was overwhelmingly positive, with participants valuing the practical focus and immediately applicable tools."
