Fynd has explored the use of its XR platform, Fynd CORE, to enhance radio communication training for fire and rescue teams. In collaboration with two fire departments, the company tested virtual reality scenarios that simulate emergency situations without the logistical demands or safety risks of physical exercises.

Trainees practiced structured communication tasks—such as initial callouts and situational reporting—inside full-scale virtual environments. Participants joined remotely but operated together in real time, assuming roles like team lead or first responder to test coordination and decision-making. The immersive approach allowed teams to respond to simulated incidents such as hazardous materials or industrial accidents. The results showed promising feedback, with participants noting the speed, realism, and value of training in a shared virtual space.
