Cork-based EHS International has entered an exclusive partnership with Australia’s Flaim Systems to deliver virtual reality fire training simulators across Ireland and to global clients. Flaim’s technology uses 4D simulation with realistic sensory elements—such as heat and resistance—to replicate real fire emergencies in over 70 training scenarios.

The simulators include systems for basic extinguisher use and advanced industrial and defence fire response, while the Trainer VR platform allows users to interact with real firefighting equipment without the environmental risks of live-fire drills.

Training delivered through EHS International includes performance tracking to support safety compliance in high-risk sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food processing, and chemicals.

Chris Mee, EHS International’s CEO, called the partnership a “game-changer,” highlighting its safety, sustainability, and realism. Flaim’s managing director, Simon Miller, emphasized the importance of immersive, evolving training tools that match the increasing complexity faced by emergency services.
