Virtualware announced a six-year agreement valued at more than €5 million to implement its VIROO platform in 66 Centres of Excellence for Vocational Training under Spain’s Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sport.

This rollout expands on the more than 25 vocational training centers across Spain already using the platform. The initiative aims to strengthen immersive learning and provide thousands of students with advanced simulation-based training from the start of their studies.

“We are opening a new chapter of growth and pedagogical innovation, allowing thousands of students to train with state-of-the-art immersive simulators developed and deployed through VIROO platform, raising their technical skills from day one. Our goal is to bring immersive technology to every vocational training classroom in Spain, through a sustainable model for content creation and deployment,” said Unai Extremo, Founder & CEO of Virtualware.

Founded in 2004, Virtualware has expanded its technology portfolio through acquisitions and strategic plans, including the 2024 acquisition of Swedish firm Simumatik to enhance digital twin and simulation capabilities. The company’s client list includes GE Vernova, Petronas, Volvo, Alstom, Bosch, Biogen, and several universities and government agencies.
