Doha’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) held its AI and XR Sandbox Open Demo Day, highlighting new proof-of-concept projects aimed at advancing digital transformation. The event, organized through the TASMU Innovation Lab, featured participation from government bodies, startups, and industry partners.
Four pilot solutions were demonstrated, including an AI tool to securely share X-ray images, a compliance analyzer for policy documents, and a smart procurement request generator developed by multiple government entities. The fourth project, designed within the Extended Reality Sandbox, focused on digital parking solutions to optimize space and reduce costs.
The Sandbox initiative provides a controlled environment for testing emerging technologies, supporting Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030 and National Vision 2030 goals.
