John Deere has introduced a headset-based training platform that blends VR and AR to help equipment operators build skills outside of a fixed simulator environment.

Compatible with the Meta Quest 3 and Pico 4 Ultra Enterprise, the system is built for use across job sites, dealerships, and classrooms. Two machines are available at launch — the 650 P-Tier dozer and 210 P-Tier excavator — with modules covering maintenance routines, controls, and hands-on operational tasks. Users can also access a free-roam sandbox environment and a timed, gamified mode for skills practice.

John Deere has indicated the platform will grow over time, with more machines and learning content in the pipeline.
