Centra’s Central Virginia Center of Simulation and VirtualLearning (also known as the Virtual Learning Center) was awarded fullaccreditation through the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) on April15, 2019.
SSH Accreditation is a peer-reviewed evaluation of thehealthcare simulation program. This accreditation examined the program'sprocesses and outcomes in teaching and education.
The Standards of Performance assess the program’s ability toachieve desired outcomes by using best practices.
The Centra team has been working over a year to prepare documents that show evidence of the quality programs and best practice principles.
This distinction makes the Virtual Learning Center the fifthsimulation program in Virginia to receive this title.
