See the RYAN AEROSPACE Helimod Mark III Helicopter Simulator configured as an AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter Mission Trainer in person at BAE Systems’ booth, #H3-110 during, DSEI in London. The 2023 event, taking place from 12-15 September, is the most significant and largest iteration of the show in its 24-year history. It will tackle the theme of ‘Achieving an Integrated Force’. Highlighting the pertinence of integrating across the five operational domains of Air, Cyber, electromagnetic activities (CEMA), Land, Sea and Space.

RYAN AEROSPACE’s basic concept demonstrator shows how (using mixed reality technology) the trainee can see hands in the cockpit and interact with controls and instruments of their aircraft whilst everything seen outside the cockpit is virtual.

BAE Systems will be showing how they are applying their expertise in military training with technology from a range of leading companies to develop next generation training for the forces of tomorrow.

Project OdySSEy sees BAE Systems bringing together experts in simulation, supercomputing, data analytics and augmented and virtual reality to create a single synthetic environment, enabling air, land, sea, space and cyber forces to plug in and train together. It will allow military forces across all domains to regularly and securely train in a virtual world, gaining crucial battlefield experiences without the challenges and constraints of live collective training and its limited warfare scenarios.

RYAN is using the Varjo XR-3 headset (Focal Edition) and the simulation host and flight model is from SASimulations. It is also using Bohemia Interactive’s Blue IG as the Image Generator.
