Sydney Flight College (SFC) has installed an ALSIM Airliner simulator at its academy in Tamworth, New South Wales, extending ALSIM's presence across Australia and the Oceania region.
The Airliner is an FNPT II MCC-certified hybrid simulator combining fly-by-wire and conventional flight controls. It supports APS MCC and MPL Phase II training, building airline competencies including automation management, crew coordination, leadership, and threat and error management. Its generic airliner design lets trainees transition into any type rating, regardless of aircraft type.
Joseph Pilo, CEO of SFC, said: "Today marks an important milestone for SFC Sydney Flight College, and for our academy here in Tamworth. The introduction of the Airliner simulator represents the final piece in delivering our complete airline pilot training pathway. The Airliner allows our students to train in a realistic airline flight deck environment, developing the communication, teamwork and decision-making skills required in modern commercial aviation. Importantly, this investment also reinforces our commitment to regional New South Wales and to Tamworth as a growing centre for aviation training."
Alsim is exhibiting at APATS now through 2 September at booth 609. Stop by to learn more.
