ELITE Simulation Solutions has delivered an ELITE PI235 Pro AATD to Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, expanding the university's aviation education, flight training, and aeronautical research capabilities.

The device combines flight dynamics, avionics simulation, and instructor tools in one platform. It is being used to support pilot training and aviation education, with plans to add MATLAB connectivity in the coming months. Once integrated, the MATLAB link will let students, faculty, and researchers interface directly with the simulator for projects in flight dynamics analysis, control system development, avionics experimentation, and human factors studies.

The PI235 Pro AATD supports instrument procedures, navigation exercises, emergency scenarios, cockpit familiarization, and scenario-based instruction. Its open, scalable architecture allows institutions to add capabilities as training and research needs evolve.

The project reflects the growing use of flight simulation in higher education, where training environments and research capabilities are becoming more closely linked.
