Delta Air Lines has placed an order for four additional fire trainers from Flame Aviation, expanding its cabin fire training infrastructure across two sites in the United States.

The order comprises two V7000 Brigade units and two V9000 Commander units. The V7000 Brigade trainers will be added to Delta's existing facility in Atlanta, while the two V9000 Commander units will be installed at the airline's training center in Salt Lake City.

Delivery of the first two units is scheduled for Q1 2027, with the V9000 Commander trainers to follow in Q2 2027.

Delta first commissioned a V9000 Commander from Flame Aviation two years ago. The follow-on order extends the airline's use of the technology across its network.

Flame Aviation's fire trainers are designed for hands-on training in inflight fire scenarios, including lithium-ion battery fires in overhead luggage compartments and other cabin locations. Other US operators of Flame Aviation systems include American Airlines, JetBlue, SkyWest Airlines, FAA CAMI, and FlightSafety International.
