The European Aviation Training Summit (EATS) has officially opened its Call for Papers for the 2026 conference, inviting aviation training professionals, operators, regulators, manufacturers, and technology providers to contribute to the programme.
Taking place at the Estoril Congress Centre in Cascais, Portugal, on 3–5 November 2026, EATS 2026 will be held under the theme “Competency, Technology, and Resilience: Advancing European Aviation Training.” The conference will focus on the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of pilot, cabin crew, maintenance, and ab initio/ATO training.
The summit is seeking submissions that reflect operational experience, regulatory developments, and the practical application of emerging technologies across aviation training. Priority topics include Evidence-Based Training (EBT), Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA), human factors, artificial intelligence (AI), extended reality (XR), instructor development, training resilience, and evolving regulatory frameworks.
“We are delighted to announce that the call for papers for EATS is now open,” said Conference Chair Captain Jacques Drappier.
“As the aviation industry continues to evolve through new technologies, changing regulatory requirements and growing workforce demands, EATS provides a unique platform for training professionals, operators, regulators and technology providers to share knowledge, best practices and innovative solutions.
“We invite subject matter experts from across the aviation training community to contribute presentations, case studies and research that will help shape the future of pilot, cabin crew, maintenance and ATO training. The quality and diversity of industry contributions have always been at the heart of EATS, and we look forward to building another outstanding programme that addresses the most important challenges and opportunities facing aviation training today.”
EATS 2026 will feature four dedicated conference streams covering Pilot Training, Cabin Crew Training, Maintenance Training, and Ab Initio/ATO Training. Organisers are particularly interested in case studies, implementation experiences, lessons learned, and operational insights from airlines and training organisations. Commercial product presentations will not be accepted, ensuring the conference maintains its focus on education, collaboration, and industry best practice.
The conference is accepting three categories of submissions:
The deadline for abstract and submission entries is 30 June 2026, with speaker confirmations scheduled for 30 July 2026.
Industry professionals interested in contributing to the programme can submit their proposals through the official EATS submission portal. Further information is available at www.eats-event.com or by contacting Jacques.Drappier@Halldale.com.
