Elixir Aircraft and Turbotech have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch industrial development of the Elixir Turbine, following a year of flight testing with the demonstrator aircraft.

The demonstrator completed its first engine start in February 2025, its maiden flight in June 2025, and its initial flight test campaign. The agreement covers aircraft integration, development, and EASA and FAA certification, targeting entry into service by 2030.

The Elixir Turbine is powered by Turbotech's TP-R90 turbine engine. The engine is multi-fuel, compatible with Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), with an extended Time Between Overhauls (TBO).

The aircraft, built on Elixir Aircraft's Carbon OneShot airframe, uses single-lever power control, a design inspired by commercial aircraft.
