Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Prescott, Arizona, campus has received approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to participate in the Enhanced Air Traffic-Collegiate Training Initiative (AT-CTI). This designation allows graduates of the Air Traffic Management program to transition directly into tower-based, on-the-job training.
The initiative strengthens the controller pipeline by aligning university coursework with the FAA Academy curriculum in Oklahoma City. Prescott joins Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach campus, which graduated its first Enhanced AT-CTI students earlier this year.
FAA leaders emphasized the program’s role in building a stronger workforce to support the National Airspace System. Embry-Riddle officials noted that having both campuses approved demonstrates the program’s ability to prepare students for real-world operations.
The Prescott campus recently upgraded its Air Traffic Control Laboratory with advanced simulators, providing students with hands-on experience in FAA-aligned training scenarios.
