Lufthansa Aviation Training (LAT) has received the first Boeing 777-9 full-flight simulator ever delivered to an airline group. The device arrived early Thursday at the Lufthansa Training Center in Frankfurt, transported from CAE’s manufacturing facility in Montréal in a large wooden shipping crate. Assembly and installation are now beginning, with “Ready for Training” scheduled for the end of May 2026.

Its arrival marks a milestone as the Lufthansa Group prepares to introduce the Boeing 777-9 into its fleet.

Configured to match Lufthansa’s first 777-9 aircraft, the simulator features the Rockwell Collins EP 8100 visual system, Eyevis ESP-LWQX-2000 projectors, and smoke simulation capability. A dedicated briefing and debriefing station will support structured preparation and post-training analysis.

Aircraft delivery is currently scheduled for mid-2027, placing simulator readiness more than a year ahead of entry into service.
