Skyborne has just launched a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) programme for Indian cadets, aimed at supporting India's commercial pilot pipeline.

Conducted in line with Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) requirements, the programme enables Indian cadets to train for a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) CPL at Skyborne's Vero Beach campus in Florida. No prior flying experience is required. Cadets can gain Single and Multi-Engine certifications, including Instrument privileges, as they prepare to enter airline operations.

Rina Basu, Regional Director, Asia Pacific, Skyborne, says: "As India's aviation sector continues to grow, Skyborne's CPL programme opens the door for aspiring cadets to kickstart their pilot careers. By bringing a proven US training model to Indian cadets, we're creating a direct, high-quality pathway to becoming a professional pilot. With airline fleets and routes expanding in India, there's never been a better time to start."

Flight time, course content and instructional methods are fully aligned with DGCA standards. Following assessment, selected cadets will complete flight training over approximately 12 months.

Applications are now open for cadets based in India.
