CAE unveiled its eye tracking technology for air traffic services (ATS) training at Airspace World 2025 in Lisbon, Portugal. The system, adapted from pilot training, monitors where trainees focus and how they respond to radar environments, aiming to improve decision-making and situational awareness.

The technology is part of CAE’s broader strategy to modernize ATS training through data-driven insights and scalable delivery. The company’s demonstration showcased how eye tracking provides instructors with measurable feedback to personalize learning and reinforce operational habits early in training.

This debut follows CAE’s partnership with NAV CANADA, launched in 2024, and the opening of an ATS Training Centre in Montreal. To date, seven cohorts have completed their basic training under this initiative. CAE plans to expand ATS training globally through its existing network of 70 training facilities.
