Riyadh Air has signed an agreement with CAE for the purchase of two Airbus A321neo 7000XR full-flight simulators. CAE will also provide operations, maintenance, and qualification services for the simulators, which will be based at the airline’s training facility in Saudi Arabia.
This purchase builds on the existing Training Centre Operations agreement from 2023, under which CAE operates two Boeing 787 full-flight simulators for Riyadh Air. The new simulators are intended to enhance pilot training capabilities and support the airline’s growing operations.
Alexandre Prévost, CAE President, Civil Aviation, said the addition of the two A321neo simulators complements the existing fleet and reflects a shared focus on safety, innovation, and high-quality training. Riyadh Air’s Acting COO, Martin Eiba, added that the simulators are a core part of the airline’s pilot training program, supporting operational readiness and skill development.
The agreement strengthens the ongoing partnership between Riyadh Air and CAE, which began with the acquisition of Boeing 787-9 simulators and a flight training device in 2023. Riyadh Air began operations in October 2025, with daily flights to London Heathrow and upcoming routes to Dubai.
