Skyborne, a Florida-based pilot training academy, is adding two new programs to its US offering: the Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program (ATP-CTP) and a new Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) pathway for commercial pilot license (CPL) holders.
ATP-CTP is the final stage of pilot training in the US, preparing pilots to sit the FAA ATP written exam. The program combines classroom instruction with advanced full flight simulator training, covering high-altitude operations, automation, and multi-crew coordination. Its addition supports students progressing to Airline Transport Pilot certification within a single training environment.
The new CFI pathway is open to both Skyborne graduates and external candidates holding a CPL. It includes CFI, CFI-Instrument (CFII), and Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) ratings, offering a structured route into flight instruction and professional hour building.
Lee Woodward, CEO of Skyborne, says: "Expanding our U.S. offering is about strengthening the full training pathway. With the addition of ATP-CTP, delivered through our approved simulator partners in Miami and Orlando, we are able to support pilots through the critical final phase of preparation for airline operations.
"Together with the new CFI pathway, these programs create a continuous progression chain from commercial pilot to airline readiness, combining structured hour building, instructional experience, and the final academic and simulator training required for ATP certification. It's why 95% of our graduates go on to airline employment, progressing into roles with carriers around the world."
First classes begin 8 June.
