Halldale Correspondent Atul Chandra introduced BeEmotion.AI at APATS 2025 in Singapore, marking the company’s aviation debut of its emotion analytics technology for cadet training.
Joining Atul were Chris Mason, Regional Director at BeEmotion.AI, and Krisztian Makai, Director at AviatePro Services Ltd, a strategic partner.
BeEmotion.AI’s system, which has delivered results in other sectors such as healthcare, uses a single overhead camera to track micro-expressions, gaze, body pose, and head movement during simulator sessions.
The technology generates a real-time emotional signal, enabling instructors to assess pilot reactions to stressors, such as startle events, and measure performance recovery time.
Krisztian highlighted the challenge of manually analysing emotional responses, which previously required hours of post-session review. With BeEmotion.AI, instructors and cadets receive objective, data-driven reports that support tailored development plans and align with evidence-based training (EBT) standards.
The system, known as Aeromind, is designed to integrate seamlessly into existing simulator setups, offering a non-invasive, scalable solution for tracking human factors and emotional resilience. As Chris Mason noted, “Making a good pilot into a great one isn’t guesswork, it’s about measurable, actionable data.”
