The Neurosciences department at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, organized a simulation training programme focused on digital subtraction angiography (DSA) and neurovascular intervention. Conducted at the Vet Lab, the program combined hands-on simulation modules with academic lectures and clinical discussions led by national experts.

Participants explored key topics such as cerebral angiography, procedural planning, anatomical variations, complication management, and strategies for building neurointervention units. The initiative aimed to align medical education with rapidly advancing neurovascular technologies, preparing clinicians to meet evolving healthcare demands.

Faculty included specialists from institutions such as Swai Mann Singh Medical College, SPS Apollo Hospital, and IISER Mohali. Organizers emphasized the importance of integrating neurointervention training into neurosurgery, neurology, and interventional neuroradiology programs to ensure practitioners remain skilled and up to date.
