North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA) conducted an educational, team-based simulation training session for the physicians and clinical staff at East Side Endoscopy in New York City. Dale Anderson, MD, NAPA managing partner conducted the hands-on training that used high-fidelity simulation to practice lifesaving rescue skills related to uncommon, but critical clinical events, in a risk-free and safe environment.

The customized curriculum focused on clinical scenarios that can occur in gastroenterology and ASC settings such as cardiac arrest and airway compromise as well as an ACLS rhythm recognition review. The continued learning session helped advance provider skills and knowledge, and promoted teamwork through effective communication and overall performance to increase patient safety and provide the highest clinical outcomes.

In 2014, NAPA began serving as the exclusive provider of anesthesiology services at East Side Endoscopy and now also provides acute and chronic pain management services at the Center.
