Sonomarc-selected-for-NADTC-2

PLEXSYS Interface Products Inc. won a subcontract from Aero Simulation (ASI) to provide its sonomarc communications simulation system for the U.S. Navy Aviation Distributed Training Center (NADTC) 2.0 Program. It will be used in the Navy's Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training in a distributed training center that supports mission exercises for Fleet Synthetic Training – Aviation (FST-A). The contract calls for up to three NADTC Operation Centers (NOCs) to be delivered at Naval Air Station (NAS) Oceana, Virginia, with options for NAS North Island, California, and Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Iwakuni, Japan. PLEXYS will be teaming with Aero Simulation Inc. (ASI) and BGI LLC on this effort.

Sonomarc is a client/server, audio distribution and effects software package that offers high-fidelity, low-latency training on fighter cockpits, civilian aviation and ground-based communications. The NADTC will be able to host secure, distributed, pre-mission, briefing events; execute multi-mission virtual and constructive training events; record training events and playback recorded missions to the Navy’s aviation strike and maritime communities.

The NADTC staff will use the Navy’s Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) node and secure distributed network system to connect strike and maritime virtual training centers throughout the world simultaneously – and will use sonomarc with the Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF) and Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) synthetic environment generators.
