3D perception, Inc. (3DP) has been selected by AVT Simulation to provide five Lyra 210 mini-dome visual display systems for the Targeted Fidelity Apache Tactical Trainer (TFATT), supporting the Royal Netherlands Air and Space Force (RNLASF) Tactical Collective Training System (TCTS). The TFATT is an AH-64E Apache helicopter simulator with dedicated pilot and weapons stations for collective training. The Lyra 210 systems have been factory integrated, tested, and are scheduled for delivery in 2026.
The TCTS is delivered through the U.S. Army’s Foreign Military Sales program and enhances multinational collective training capabilities. The Lyra 210 system provides a 210° horizontal by 90° vertical projection within a 1.5-meter radius dome, enclosed in an 11-foot cube for complete system isolation, including support for Night Vision Goggle (NVG) operations.
Lyra 210 incorporates 3DP’s Northstar technology, which enables NVG-compatible dynamic optical blending, automated geometric correction and color calibration, and independence between projectors and image generators. Its modular architecture allows upgrades and long-term support for training environments.
The system is designed to provide realistic, high-fidelity imagery to support pilot and crew training in various operational conditions. With this delivery, the RNLASF Multi-Ship Multi-Type training environment will receive enhanced visual capabilities for collective helicopter operations and simulation-based exercises.
